The white underlines the purity, the gold hem of the dress reminds of the same rich color used to paint the rosary, as well as the band with gold stars around the waist. A thoughtful look in her eyes and folded hands as if to reassure the Christians and transmitting them confidence.
In the colors and features, the statue reiterates the story of Saint Bernadette after the apparitions: “I sow slightly a woman dressed in white: she wore a […] white veil and a blue band…”. At this site stands today one of the most famous sanctuaries dedicated to Our Lady, the Sanctuary of Lourdes.
